The Office

The Office is a show that has received a lot of acclaim. The first season sort of starts off slow. It kind of drags on, like this blog is going to do. Then the second season it starts to pick up, and it starts a going. Speaking of a going, that reminds me of the song Rock of Ages by Deaf Leopard, which contains the lyrics keep a going, keep a going. Anyways, back to the topic of this blog. The Office. Well, it stars Steve Carrel as Michael Scott, the head manager of the branch of Dundler Mifflin, located in Scranton, Pennslyvania. It is fictional. Some other main characters are Dwight Schrute, played by Rainn Wilson; Jim Halpert played by John Krasinski; Pam Beesly played by Jenna Fischer; Ryan Howard played by B. J. Novak; and Andy Bernard, played by Ed Helms. Some other prominent characters are Angela Martin played by Angela Kinsey, Kelly Kapoor played by Mindy Kaling, Oscar Martinez played by Oscar Nunez, Darryl Philbin played by Craig Robinson, Erin Hannon played by Ellie Kemper, Toby Flenderson played by Paul Lieberstein, Kevin Malone played by Brian Baumgartner, Phyllis Lapin played by Phyllis Smith, Stanley Hudson played by Leslie David Baker, Meredith Palmer played by Kate Flannery, Creed Bratton played by himself, Creed Bratton, Roy Anderson played by David Denman, Holly Flax played by Amy Ryan, Jan Levinson played by Melora Hardin, and David Wallace played by Andy Buckley.
The show focuses on the Scranton branch and what goes on there. Michael is the regional manager, and he is a goof off and a “moron”, who is basically an idiot who does not deserve the job he has. However, he does somehow manage to perform well in his position. Dwight is a little out there, and he is almost crazy. He is also a farmer and he is just plain out weird. Jim, like Dwight, is a salesman. He pulls pranks on Dwight and it is very comical. He gets promoted to co manager of the Scranton Branch at some point as well. He is in love with Pam. Pam is the receptionist, and then later a sales woman. She falls in love with Jim as well. Ryan is originally a temp, then becomes very high up in the company, only to commit fraud, get fired, and then become re hired and become another salesman, only to get fired again. He continually has a love interest in Kelly. Andy gets moved over to the Scranton branch as a salesman too, and he originally has anger management and then he becomes friends with Dwight and he is an interesting character.
This is just a very brief overview of the show, The Office.
