Trivia
Crack is an app that is available for both systems that operate on iOS as well
as Android devices. It is an app that you compete with people on. You first
download the app, and you can connect it with your Facebook, your Twitter, or
both. You then compete with people. The game is basically a bunch of quizzes.
You compete with people, and you take turns answering questions. The different
types of questions are geography, science, history, sports, art, and
entertainment. When it is your turn you spin the wheel, landing on any of those
spots or a crown, all which have an equal probability of being chosen. As of
now, just ignore the crown spot, as I will be coming back to that later. For
whichever spot the spinner lands on, you answer a question about that. If you
get the question over that topic correct, then you get to spin again and keep going.
However, if you get the question wrong, then your turn is over and it is the
other person’s turn.
When
answering questions, there are a few powerups that you have at your disposal
that can help you. The powerups are as follows: extra time, bomb, double
chance, and skip. The extra time gives you extra time to answer the question,
as you only get twenty seconds to answer the question. The bomb powerup removes
two of the incorrect answers, leaving you with only two options left. The
double chance powerup lets you guess two options instead of just one. The skip
powerup lets you skip that question, giving you a new question of the same
topic. Once you use a powerup, you cannot use another powerup. You have to buy
powerups, though. You buy them with coins that you earn by answering questions
correctly. You can get the extra time powerup with four coins, the bomb powerup
with six coins, the double chance powerup with three coins, and the skip powerup
you can get with five coins.
You
need to get three questions right to attempt for a crown. There are six crowns,
each one representing each of the six question topics. These do not need to get
all three in a row in one turn; you just need to have gotten three questions
right. However, you can also spin and get the spinner to land on the crown
option instead. Both of these two lead to the same outcome: you choosing which
crown to attempt for. Whichever crown you attempt to get, you will need to
answer a question of that topic to gain that crown. If you answer the question
correctly then you gain the crown. However, if you do not answer the question
correctly, then your turn is over, and your number of questions correct resets,
so you need to get another three correct to attempt for a crown, or spin the
crown itself. The winner of the game is whoever gets all six crowns first.
You do
not always need to attempt for a crown. You can also challenge your opponent.
In order to challenge your opponent, you both need to have at least one crown.
By challenging your opponent you both answer six questions, one for each topic.
You answer all six questions first. After that, your opponent answers the same
six questions. Whoever answers the most questions wins the challenge. They will
gain their opponents crown that was selected then. Your opponent will also
loose the crown that you gain. That all, however, occurs only if you win.
Trivia
Crack is a fun and entertaining app that many people play. You can play friends
from social media, or you can play random people. It is a great way to pass the
time, and by doing so you also learn information from the various questions
that you answer.
